Food


It's true. Families that eat together on a regular basis have fewer problems! The fact is that families that slow down, buy groceries, cook, set the table, eat slowly and visit---then do the dishes as a team have much more joy in life. Sometimes it's hard to find the time but start with three times a week. Pick interesting menus, that YOU prepare, and allow at least an hour to eat and talk. It's an easy way to build emotional and spiritual connection. Sometimes I think it would be best if we threw out our dishwashers!!! I have a good friend who occasionally dines with my family. The highlight is always the dishes! He usually volunteers to wash. The kids dry and my wife and I put stuff away. Meals are a special time to build relationships. Plan a 'feast' today!
