Lifelines

There are days when it is hard to get out of bed. Days when depression seems to hold you down deep beneath your quilt. Dark days when you feel alone. One of the best ways to help with depression is to establish lifelines before it comes. Friends who know when to call, buy you lunch or hold you. The simplest way to build your network is to offer the service first. Tell your friends that you are willing to be a lifeline. To initiate care instead of responding to crisis. Lifelines encourage us to discover the resources we have within that we are born with...it's amazing how a friendly lunch, honest conversation or walk in the snow can help us realize we have all the resources in the world to thrive...even when the quilt feels heavy and it's cold outside.
