Teaching in the North!

There are few things more magical on a Saturday morning than spending some time fishing with friends. Especially in the winter, when after the holes are drilled, you sit and share stories about teaching, about successes and failures and about hope! This is a fringe benefit of teaching in the north. Yes, there are challenging kids, no shopping malls or donut shops but there is so much more.

Teaching here involves enjoying nature, finding alternative ways to present curriculum, loving frustrating kids and encouraging each other to be a team. Teachers and principals spending time on a frozen lake surrounded by majestic trees, gently jigging, waiting for the fish to bite. It's connections like these that build strong teams of teachers who begin to see how lucky they are! If you love kids and the wonders of nature why not come and teach in the north...
