Relationships

Relationships require work. It sounds odd but they do. In fact most people expect that their relationships will always be there and that they require no effort at all. The reality is quite different. With time relationships can sour or become dull simply because we have taken them for granted. Sometimes I do it too. We forget to make the effort to cultivate friendship. In your day timer schedule special lunches, text messages, emails or long walks outdoors and most of all talk. Ask the people in your life meaningful questions and be prepared to listen. Listening creates a wealth of opportunity for making connections. Yes, relationships take hard work but usually the work is enjoyable and the benefits exceptional!
