When things don't work...

There are days when things don't work. Days when I wish I could wave a magic wand and make something disappear. Have you ever felt like that? Simple things like wanting to watch a program on television that is on a channel you don't get. It's annoying. There are days when I wish the people around me would say and do things just how I want them to, but they don't. Days when I can feel alone, frustrated and wondering why? So I telephoned my satellite TV company and asked why the basketball game wasn't on. Simple things teach us so much. We sometimes think that we are actually in control, but we aren't. I read a Budhist saying just today, "Practice not doing and everything will fall into place." It doesn't mean do nothing! It means being peace. Being you. What I can control is accepting where I am and who I am. I can accept happiness now in the simple things of life. The birds flight. The childs laughter or the new growth of spring. But there are days I wish I could control everything. Days when I am not at peace.-TJS

  1. I enjoyed reading your blog posts very much! I have often seen (and used it myself) the advice of when you are having a "bad" day just make a list of at least 5 things that you are grateful for!
